*Arianna can be seen walking through town. The Halfling wears a hodgepodge of mismatched clothing, but a very distinct and somewhat out of place grey and black favor is strung onto a colorful ribbon wrapped around her waist. She also carries a large bag slung across her shoulder that glows with a magical aura of one of her wizard locks and holds what seems to be a large and somewhat heavy book. After a while she reaches one of her destinations; Aelorn's Workshop, and knocks on the door.*

Shortly after knocking, a page opens the door and lets Arianna inside. After walking her to a chair and asking her to wait, he heads off to get Aelorn.
At least 20 minutes later, Aelorn enters the room, nods to Arianna, and asks, "What do you need today, Miss Halfling?"

*Arianna nods to Aelorn* "I was wondering about the process of Resurrection for a fated person, more specifically if you take a trophy from a defeated fated foe, like a jaw bone, if it would resurrect with or without the said jaw bone and if said trophy would disappear."

Aelorn furrows his brow and stares at Arianna intently.
"Arianna... who's jawbone did you take?"

"A dragon's," Arianna says quite happily and proud, "I was also going to ask how much you know about dragons or if that would be a question more directed towards Hogarth. And I didn't take the jawbone, I just helped."

Aelorn sighs, then takes a seat across from Arianna. He composes himself and speaks plainly.
"Resurrection is a form of innate magic all living beings possess. Magic "knows" things in a way that is hard to explain, but basically, it knows when someone takes a trophy, like an ear or a jawbone, and that part no longer 'belongs' to the creature who died. When the creature resurrects, he resurrects whole, and the pieces that were 'taken' remain in the possession of their new owner. Unless returned to the creature of origin they will persist outside of his ownership."
"That being said... your dragon knows its jawbone is out there... and I'd wager it is none too happy. You may be tempted to make jewelry out of its teeth or something to that effect. I advise you make sure the dragon is dead before doing so."
Aelorn stands up and dusts off his robes.
"And it's not dead. All dragons are fated. You and your companions have made a terrible enemy. May the gods watch over you, because less merciful eyes certainly are."

*A worried look comes across Arianna's face.* "Taking a trophy from a fated creature... does it torture the soul like animation does?"

No, not nearly so. More akin to when you get the nagging sensation you left the door unlocked, after you've already started on a journey.

"Ah, well that's a relief," Arianna says with a sigh, "how much do you know about dragons anyways?"

Enough to know better than to take little trophies. Enough to avoid them in the first place.

"Well, I'll be sure to pass that on to the rest of the group. On another case, do you know how to get in touch with Hogarth? I'd very much like to speak with him, but I'd rather not wander around in the forest either."

"If you want to get in touch with Hogarth, I'd suggest sending a message through one of the dryad and entling group that come in from his forest from time to time to trade. I know there are ferans in that group as well, but they are a bit harder to separate from other travelers. I don't think I've met a dryad or entling in this town that didn't come from Hogarth's Wood."
Aelorn stands up and brushes off his robes.
"Now, if you'll excuse me, I do have to get back to my work."
The elf nods his head to the halfling and turns to take his leave.

"Thanks!" *Arianna gets up and skips out, closing the door quietly behind her as she heads off to the Raven's Nest.*
