Felin are an anthropomorphic race descended of cats. Commonly solitary, few are known to travel in family groups or as couples. The vast majority of Felin take after big cats such as tigers, lions or cheetah. Some believe there are Felin who descend from domestic cats, but there is not sufficient evidence to verify such claims. Felin are secretive, arrogant and fickle by nature. However, when a Felin bonds to another person, they become extremely affectionate and fiercely loyal.
Felin may appear nearly identical to humans, with distinctive coloring, pointy ears, fangs and claws, or almost indistinguishable from an ancestor cat standing on its hind legs.
Canin
Canin are an anthropomorphic race descended of wolves and dogs. Canin tend to run in packs composed of family groups. Unlike Felin, there are many Canin descended of domesticated dog, and like their ancestors, enjoy working as hunters and guards. Retrievers, Shepherds and Pits are the most common families of dogkin. Wolfkin prefer to live in the wild, with little contact outside of their pack.
Canin may appear nearly identical to humans, with distinctive coloring, pointy ears, fangs and claws, or almost indistinguishable from an ancestor wolf/dog standing on its hind legs.
Ursin
Ursin are an anthropomorphic race descended of bears. Ursin live mostly solitary lives until they pick a mate. Mated Ursin pairs remain together for life, denning together and raising their young as a couple. Rarely, multiple couples will den together when the environment is especially dangerous. In these cases, an alpha will become the leader of the sloth. Ursin tend to be uncomfortable in cities and villages, preferring open territories to call their home.

Taurin
Taurin are an anthropomorphic race descended of cattle. Taurin live in large herds comprised of up to a dozen of interrelated family groups. Taurin are very strongly protective of their herd, and react as a group to any outside threat. Depending on the herd, a group of Taurin may take after bison, water buffalo or longhorn, as well as myriad other groups. All male Taurin have horns, as do most female.
Taurin may appear nearly identical to humans, with distinctive coloring, pointy ears, horns and thick nails, or almost indistinguishable from a minotaur, though the two are not necessarily related.
Rodin
Rodin are an anthropomorphic race descended of rodents. Rodin are split into numerous subgroups, Castorins similar to beaver, Murin descended of rats and mice, and Sciurin descended of squirrels to name a few. Most choose to live in loosely associated communities for protection. They form weak family relations, if any at all.
Rodin may appear nearly identical to humans, with distinctive coloring, large ears, and buckteeth, or almost indistinguishable from an ancestor rodent standing on its hind legs.
Corvin
Corvin are an anthropomorphic race descended of ravens. Why only Corvin represent the avian species in the Feran race is a mystery. Some believe the birds could not survive the loss of flight, others believe mages predilection for ravens as familiars is just more evidence towards the magic origin of Ferans in general. In any case Corvin keep their history to themselves, but share other stories willingly. Gregarious and verbose, it is far harder to quiet a Corvin that it is to get him talking. Corvin are excitedly social and familiar with their own kind, but regularly separate to continue on their own paths.
Corvin may appear nearly identical to humans, with coarse black hair, pointed noses and claws, or extremely birdlike, with a thick coat of feathers, protruding beak and taloned feet.
Ichthyn
Ichthyn are an anthropomorphic race descended of fish. Not to be confused with merfolk, Ichtyn prefer to travel in schools and rarely build permanent dwellings. All Ichthyn can breathe underwater, and only some families can breathe air. Most can survive out of water for a few minutes. Those that can breathe air can live outside of water indefinitely, provided they keep hydrated. Ichthyn do not have words for family, mother, father, sibling etc… Ichthyn refer to their school in response to questions of parentage, siblinghood, and children.
Ichthyn may appear nearly identical to humans, with shimmering skin, patches of scales, and mid-digital webbing, or extremely fishlike, completely scalled with dorsal fins and obvious gills.
