Lord Gaverek has been vigilant of late in making regular inspection of the militia garrison. It is no secret he has started selecting troops specifically for the town guard, and it seems only the best and brightest will do.
In his rounds, he has been seen removing banners and dressing down militia men in chaos colors. Though the militia has no uniform, it seems the Lord of Hevard port has decided that orange and red is not it.
As the days move on, Gaverek seems more and more agitated, ordering the removal of all chaos graffitti in the militia grounds, giving regular lectures on the necessity of law and order within a fighting force, and insisting that Holy Day preparations include hazard preparedness.
While many are preparing for the wild fun that comes with an Inin holy day, the Lord of town seems less than enthusiastic.

Reggie listens intently to the discussions and lectures. He even helps remove the drawings from the militia hall.

*Arianna approaches. Today she has a large pink and yellow cloth sling across her front with her son inside dressed in bright fiery colors as well. She waves her hand as some wooden blocks dance in front of him.*
"Lord Gaverek, I was wondering how everything was coming along for The Holy Day."

Lord Gaverek is observing the militia grounds as Arianna approaches, watching some of the new town guards drill. Without taking his eyes from the recruits, he answers the Halfling.
"I'm the wrong person to ask. I have no involvement in the Holy Day, I'm just the Lord of town, trying to keep people safe."
His answer is direct and summary, but not angry or rude.

"Oh, ok. Do you know who is? I'd like to learn a bit more about it."

"Ask one of the people in robes? Mi Lord, I'd like to speak to you privately when you can pencil me in."

Gaverek makes a hand gesture to one of the drill sergeants, and the drill sergeant starts the recruits on a new series of exercises.
He then replies to Arianna, "The last time I was at an Inin Holy day, a goat was the high priest for the duration, and I'm not talking about a Satyr." Gaverek very nearly smirks, but quickly returns to the look of focused resolve. "Seek out someone with strong ties to chaos, perhaps a priest of Bebai or a Paladin of Golec. They might be making some preparations."
Gaverek pauses and addresses Reginald, "I have a few moments, I suppose the grounds won't explode into posies if I'm away for a moment." The Lord turns and begins walking towards his office, and cringes after a step or two, mentally kicking himself for making the last comment.

*Arianna nods and walks away making baby talk to her son.*

*reg follows the lord, wating for flowers to bloom everywhere*
"May I open a tavern in your town? Simple fare really nothing over the top or illegal. Lewdness, debauchery, and disturbing the peace will not be tolerated at any extablishment I operate. But, I'd like to sell some drinks, and maybe have some entertainment to get the people's minds off the war, and being stuck on the frontier.

"I don't see why not, new business is always good for town, so long as you pay your taxes." Gaverek smiles, knowing that hit the priest where it hurt. "Did you need anything else?"

"No Lord, taxes will be paid. What's good for Hevard Port is good for the residents. Thank you for your time."
