True Classes
At level 6, if a player has not chosen to hybrid, their character gains access to true class abilities. True classes are paragons of their roles, and as such acquire unique talents indicative of their class. New or improved talents are gained again at level 16 and 26. Should a player ever hybrid, they permanently lose access to all of their True Class talents.
The True Class talents are as follows:
True Fighter: Cleave
A true fighter has mastered the art of combat to such an extent that they can turn a successful attack into an additional attempt. If a fighter performs a power attack, sunder, sever or slay that the target has not flashed, parried or dodged, the fighter may then immediately declare “Cleave” and attempt the same attack a second time, on the same or another nearby target. As a fighter levels, he may Cleave additional times per soft reset, as follows:
Level 6: Repeat a special attack after a successful special attack once per soft reset
Level 16: Repeat a special attack after a successful special attack twice per soft reset
Level 26: Repeat a special attack after a successful special attack thrice per soft reset
True Rogue: Evasion
A true rogue has mastered the art of stealth to such an extent that they turn a dodge into a prolonged dance of evasive maneuvers. The Rogue may declare “Evasion” once per soft reset to gain immunity to a certain type of attacks for 6 seconds. As a rogue levels, her Evasion may be used to avoid different attacks, as follows:
Level 6: Avoid all melee attacks for 6 seconds
Level 16: Avoid all magical attacks for 6 seconds
Level 26: Avoid all Fate Magic attacks for 6 seconds
True Mage: Brilliance
A true mage has mastered the art of spell casting to such an extent that they can carry over this expertise to the casting of Fate Magic. At level 6 a true mage gains a pool of mana that begins full at the start of an event, and does not regenerate until the beginning of the next event. As the mage increases in level this pool of mana increases in size as follows:
Level 6: 50 mana per event
Level 16: 100 mana per event
Level 26: 150 mana per event
True Priest: Devotion
A true priest has mastered the devotion to purpose to such an extent that they can ingrain the casting of a Fate Magic spell into their very being. At level 6 a priest may perform a ritual to consume a fate magic scroll, destroying the scroll and making it a permanent part of their being. Once this is done, the Priest may then cast that fate magic spell for only 80% of the spell’s mana cost. As a priest levels, he may consume additional Fate Magic scrolls, as follows:
Level 6: Consume 1 Fate Magic scroll
Level 16: Consume up to 2 Fate Magic scrolls
Level 26: Consume up to 3 Fate Magic scrolls
* A priest may choose to consume a Fate Magic Scroll to replace one that they have already consumed. If this is done, the previously consumed fate magic scroll is permanently lost.
