One night in the bar

[Reginald]

Reginald gathers everyone he can.

"Ok people, how do we keep the Progenitor from fleeing? Thoughts? I've thought many different things and had many different ideas. What do you guys and gals think?"

[Arianna]

*Arianna, sitting near Tyree, thinks for a moment before speaking.*
"We trap him in something else? Or we can call on that ghost guy in the shield."

[Reginald]

"The undead is a last resort, and trapping him is the point. i don't think we can lure him any where. we will have to take the final fight to him. Baiting him isn't an option, he's got us dead to rights with numbers alone.'

[Arianna]

"Well, what all do we know about him? Death strengthens him, undead are an abomination to him and they don't strengthen him, what else?"

[Reginald]

"Toth is the soul of an old goblin that has merged with a progenitor of death summoned by a death cult."

[Arianna]

"Wasn't his soul released from the statue of Buru after it was healed?"

[Reginald]

"Aelorn, Lucas, Faydra and I did destroy the statue, but we're not sure on exactly what happened other then that was the statue at the center of the ritual that summoned the progenitor. We are fairly certain what we destroyed was the focus of the ritual that called it here. I'm sure that helps in the fight, but I'm not sure how. Keeping him on the battlefield is our number one goal though. Healing made the statue heavier, so maybe Life energy slows it down? I feel that's important, but not the answer."

[Arianna]

"I'd say we could pray about it, but last time I did that a bad thing with so far unknown consequences happened. By the way, Z.I.M.M. has a book on that subject that I'm going to get. Maybe it'll shed some more light on the situation."

[Reginald]

"Your soul is not the topic of this conversation, Toth's is. We'll work out your issue soon as we work out the goblins that are about to siege us. Back on topic please."

[Arianna]

"You're right I'm sorry."
*Arianna pauses a moment*
"We also know he can completely kill fated heroes." *Arianna gets a sad look as she remembers Sarong.*

[Vareth Nar]

Vareth has stayed characteristically silent up until now. He has some papers in front of him, a pen in hand. At times he scribbles notes as everyone else talks.

"We need to make a list of what we know about Toth. From there we can move forward. This is what I have."

He turns the paper around. It says:
1) Shard of progenitor of death merged with goblin soul
2) Was summoned, likely in death temple
3) Statue was planar anchor. Destruction could have weakened. Likely Toth only needs to be killed once more to send the progenitor back home
4) Toth can teleport through shadows
5) Toth can instantly kill by using scepter of death and finger of death

"Tell me what I am missing."

[Arianna]

"Toth the goblin is all about conquring, the progenitor however is very narrow minded about death."

[Reginald]

"the first time we fought him he was in the body of an old goblin, now he's in the body of his former general a powerful paladin of Deleck. We didn't see him face to face in between, but the anchor still existed."

[Arianna]

"Do you think we should try to destroy it?"

[Reginald]

"Destroy what? The statue is gone, and this is about keeping him on the field. We can't let him flee."
